On Super Mario World Central site, there you can download custom sprites, custom blocks and other such things to build your custom mario game. I was thinking, what if the NES homebrew scene did something similar?
What if there were starter roms for certain types of games (overhead, shooter, plat-former) which included the basics of what a person would need to build their game. And then there were lots of blocks and things to download from to make your own game. This way you don't have to reinvent the wheel when you make a game since most of the things you need are already coded.
Would this work on a site like this?
