I've noticed a lot of the "gurus" here talking about various games they've been working on---do you have websites where I could check out your work? I haven't yet found very many homebrew games and I'd like to explore them.

Generally each homebrewer has a site with his stuff on (altough personally I haven't yet released any full games, I plan to tough).
However, there is this page which is a good sumarry :
http://www.nesworld.com/homebrew.php
Wow, it's surprising to see my game "The Game" up there with screen shots, and someone else took the time to make them! I don't know, it's just cool to see it up there like that.
But yeah, my site will have my homebrew projects information on it eventually, but if you go there it currently says that construction will continue tomorrow, but that really means just some time soon. My most important project is "ChateauLeVania", taking place at a castle underneath a resort called "Chateau LeVeaux", and it's a spoof on Castlevania.
Sivak especially has been pretty active recently in releasing games.
If you like Tetris but wish it were more responsive, the latest version of Tetramino is always on
Pin Eight::NES.
You could try PDROMS, but a lot of those have never been tested on an NES but only on the emulators that were current when they were developed. Prior to the rise of more accurate emus starting with FCE Ultra and culminating with Nestopia and Nintendulator, it was a crapshoot whether would a rom would even do anything on an NES. I'm just glad I was able to snag a PowerPak.
