Can anyone speak to the status of ASM6 or NESHLA tools linked on the Wiki? I'm looking for a useable replacement for my currently-not-making-any-progress-forward-on attempt at an embedded assembler inside NESICIDE. I need a slim assembler for internal parsing only. I'm looking at external compiler/assembler (CA65/...) usage for ROM generation. I think ASM6 would do the internal job quite nicely. But it looks like it hasn't been touched since 2000? Does this mean it doesn't work? Was it abandoned?
