I'm new to use this mapper, and I want to bank switch prg and chr files....
Can anyone help me out by giving me a template which does so....
and also the IRQ RESET ,and the stuff related to IRQ....
please help
We can explain how the MMC3 works, but if you are making games for the PlayPower project you might want to reconsider using this mapper.
I'm not familiar with the actual process used by the chinese manufacturers to make cartridges, but I'd assume MMC3 games would be harder and more expensive to make than the ones using simple discrete logic mappers (CNROM, UNROM).
Does anyone here know anything about the chinese manufacturers? I know I have a couple of chinese multicarts that include MMC3 games, but I don't know if they are just as easy to make as the other ones.
Also, if this is for the Typing Warrior game, I think that the MMC3 is overkill. I think this game has a simple design that would benefit little from the MMC3 features. Maybe you mean you want to use the MMC3 for another game?
EDIT: Thanks koitsu!
I've moved the thread to the NESdev forum instead.
but I still wanted to know...because
maybe we use this mapper for our future games ...
So please say me how to bank switch the chr(1kb ,2kb and 4kb ) and prg chunks....
please any one try to explain the template which does so....
I have gone through:
http://wiki.nesdev.com/w/index.php/MMC3
I got the idea what the mapper is capable of but to understand the code is little difficult ...
please help...
thanks in advance
