Can someone please remind me why the 6502 will not stall on a write cycle if RDY is pulled low? Is it simply because you wouldn't want the 6502 stalled while driving it's data bus output buffers (which would then cause bus contention for another peripheral wanting to drive the data bus when stalled)? And/or is it for the purposes of some programmatic deadlock avoidance?
