Nestopia is Great NES / Famicom emulator.
usability of GUI is excellent.
Interchangeability is also the highest.
I want you to take the merit of VirtuaNES, FCEUltra, and NNNesterJ, and to make it to a big project like MAME.
VirtuaNES - The sound is near a real machine.
NNNesterJ - The Expansion Port is abundant.
FCEUltra - The debugger with high interchangeability is strong.

Yes it is great, but this part of the forum is not here to champion other people's emulators.

WedNESday - The Net's #1 NES emulator
Oh the irony!
Haha, just a bit of fun. It sucks right now anyway...
how powerful is Wednesday's emu????
a question for experimented...
WedNESday is far from finished. But here is the low down; I have full 6502 emulation, including illegal opcodes. I have no sound as I have not got around to it yet. I have full PPU emulation with the odd bug but only on those testing PD roms. As for memory mapping, WedNESday supports 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 34, 66, 71. Not too much yet but that has not been a priority.
nestest.nes gives me all ok's and nestress.nes gives me all oks on my CPU and PPU (incl. DPJR palette but apart from my buggy Sprite 0 hit).
Screenshots; (please go easy on my low geocities bandwidth)

Like why did you use jpg instead of png, which generally works much better for NES screenshots and other images with big flat areas and sharp edges? Is it some sort of geocities remote loading thing?
nestest.nes
nestress.nes
where can i finding this tests???
do you have links.??..
i see google and nothing..
ps: sorry for post much.. is just i like nes and i like to learning very much..
NES emulation is easily better than emulation of any other console. For some reason, more people seem to be willing to write their own emulator, which in a way, improves NES emulation even if that emulator isn't "the best" because it at least causes more people to become interested in NES emulation and educated about NES emulation. This causes a grass roots improvement in NES emulation, in a way. If more people have written their own NES emulator, then more people are capable of contributing to "the best" NES emulators.
For other systems, there are typically a small handful of emulators, and very few people understand what is involved in writing an emulator for those systems. Hence very few people are capable of contributing to the best emulators of those consoles.
When many people have their own custom NES emulator, there is also a higher chance that new ideas/features will come into reality. So, yes, Nestopia is great, but I hope its "greatness" doesn't stop other people from creating new NES emulators, as it seems like a great way to grow future contributions to NES emulation.

Thanks for the tip. Now I can forget about using Windows again... after not using it for several years now.
