Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for at home die-cut label printers for stickers on their games? I know the guy over at retro zone uses one, so I know they must be decent. Thanks
Depending on your volume, cutting them by hand for a full label page is about the best option for small volumes if you want to do it all yourself. You can have local print shops make them but you'll be looking at several dollars a label until you breach several hundred.
Also for what it's worth, I'm not sure, but your topic makes it sound like the printer is special in some way, but it's actually the cutter that's special. Printers are generally color laser.
I'm looking into some options for this myself right now. I'm planning to ask them if they can supply pre-cut labels similar to Avery postage labels so people could print them for themselves, but I think the chances are pretty slim.
Ahhh i see. My wife makes candles and was looking for one that you can use that prints and cuts for a sticker on the glass part. I just remember retro zone used one for his games, so figured something like that would work.
I don't have a laser printer, So I usually bring my own sticker paper to a place that prints the labels for me. My paper isn't originally glossy, so after printing I spray glossy paper varnish on the labels. Before I "upgraded", I used and x-acto knife for cutting and a nail clipper for the rounded edges, but know I got a paper guillotine and a rounded corner cutter. I did this for all my flash carts, and they all look great (better than the label on my PowerPak actually, since you brought RetroZone up).
