So I was curious to see if Nintendo was are aware of, and acknowledged the efforts put into keeping their since long retired 8 bit console alive (edit: and 16 bits aswell). From what I gathered, they don't like emulators very much for starters.

So, emulators are bad (mmkay) and so are ROM files. Not a single word about the actual hardware emulation for the use of homebrewed games, at least not officially.
Has anyone heard or read their opinon on this subject?
