I'm currently looking to buy an A/V receiver, and one of my reasons for doing so is to have most of my consoles hooked up to my TV and switch between them with a single remote.
I want something with at least 5 HDMI inputs, at least 1 component input, and a few composite inputs. My concern is the processing that the receiver does on analog video signals to be able to output them over HDMI, and the latency that that adds (I know that my TV does the same thing if I hook up an analog source to it, but if I shell out a bunch of money for a new piece of equipment I want it to perform well).
Do any of you have a brand or particular model that you can recommend for this use-case? And yes, I'm aware of the Framemeister, and it might be something I'd be interested in eventually, but not right now.
