As many of you are probably aware, the new Doom game came out a couple of days ago. It's probably early to ask about this then, but I figure someone must have played it. Because I'm split as to whether I want to get it or not (with everything I feel the game does right from what I've seen, it does something else equally bad) and because I can't seem to find much information on it (because it just came out) I wanted to ask some questions.
First, is the split screen anywhere in the game? I can understand the campaign not having it, but I at least hope that it's multiplayer through online. And second, is there music during gameplay anywhere, or do you have the option to add it or anything?
Basically, if you like Doom 1 and 2, would you like this game? It looks more like Halo 1-3 than anything, (even the artwork reminds me of it, as it's too glossy and not gritty enough. The imp redesign would be right at home in a Halo game) and while it isn't a bad thing, it isn't Doom. I don't want to spend $60 on something I'm only going to play a handful of times before I get sick of it.
At least I can always default back on this:
