This is kind of stupid but I still think it's a little bit annoying.
When Bowser falls down into the lava in the first SMB, he falls on top of the lava instead of behind it. I think it would have looked better if he fell behind the lava. This would have been easily(?) fixed by setting the spritepriority-bits during the falling.. Or? Is there a technical reason they did what they did?
Or do I just have too much sparetime at the moment?
