So I'm going to be traveling to Texas next week, anyone have some recommendations on what to do or see? I'll be going through El Paso, San Antonio, Houston and Galveston.
Why would you visit a shithole like Texas?
I've never been to Texas so I can't offer any real advice, but I have asked for travel advice a lot, so my biggest tip for you is to mention the sort of stuff you like and are interested in
...you should probably check out the basement at The Alamo though.
If you were visiting Austin over 5 years ago, you might have seen a certain famous vagrant crossdresser. But he died.
When I visited El Paso I couldn't find anything redeeming ... other than a few authentic German restaurants.
Big Bend National Park is gorgeous. If it's your cup of tea.
I've been in Houston more times than I can count, and it's basically ok during February. Otherwise ... it's a large city with large city things including museums.
San Antonio has lots of interesting history things. The riverwalk is kinda neat.
All of the Texas coast is basically part of the tropics, so if you're into looking at wildlife, it's good for that.
I've heard the Alamo has a nice basement.
I like outdoor stuff, hiking, biking, kayaking, etc. National/state parks are great, as well as hitorical sites. Theme parks, water parks are fun.
The nightlife is not my thing, but I would like to try a few restaurants while I'm there.
I had seen the riverwalk and will probably check out out.
