- Just wondering about that game, quite dated. There's a bunch of kids in the Ask Capcom forums... and while I don't reply for them, there are some nifty and ugly things enough to get on my nerves!
- I've played MM7 in 1995, but it wasn't as fantastic as MM6, perhaps because of a "bigger" world. A guy said that this game "kickass". I wonder if you share the same opinion about the game... ^_^;; Even another kid has requested a MM11 with MM7 gfx, lol.
*bigger means bigger sprites, bigger ladders... all the things.
EDIT: added a poll.
I liked the music and the extra animation frames. Gameplay is kinda ok, nothing special.

It takes forever to use up the Rush Search energy to try to get free stuff.
MM7 is basically the same thing as the later Game Boy games (4 and 5) except it's on the SNES. Generally speaking, I also find that it maintains the same level of quality as those titles, so I vote for the second option.
I didn't think it was too bad.
Story-wise, it wasn't memorable
Gameplay-wise, it was good.
It seemed to be lacking in the Rock 'n Roll musical inspiration the earlier MegaMans had... but I liked Slashman's theme.
Overall it was fun, & the bolt-collecting was a real plus.
I enjoyed it. The final boss was pretty difficult. I'm not all that great a gamer so I'm not sure how the rest of you fared, but I know it took me many tries, beating all 8 bosses and finally arriving at Wily with enough energy tanks to beat his final form. The first form is ridiculously easy, I found I could beat it without losing any energy.
For me, while the sound track was decent, it didn't have the incisive awesomeness that the 1-6's soundtracks had, or Mega Man X 1-3.
You know I dont think I ever played it before right now, and so far I do enjoy it.
I never played it, so can't really say, but I like MMx2 for SNES if that means anything. It was meh, not anything THAT great, but it was good.
I'd say the unauthorized 8-bit remake of MM7 is more fun than MM6. But I really don't like the physics of the SNES game.
What's strange about the MM7 fangame is you have to use a keyboard emulator to play with a controller. Some guy takes the trouble to create a Megaman game and he's like, oh yeah they'll love playing this with the arrow keys.
I liked it better than X2-3. Looking back it's still pretty nice, but I don't like the big characters, they're too big.

I agree 100%
Bosses were so hard because both Mega Man and the Bosses were so large they took a significant space on the screen.
Most bosses are hard to impossible to beat without their weakness, while on the NES games, using their weakness is doing it the "cowardly" way.
Another issue is the quite a few things are ripped from older MMs. (Cloudman's stage is ripped from Air Man's for example).
On the plus side, call me crazy or wathever but I like the music in MM7 much better than it in MMX series. I also like the style of game-play.
idk about impossible to beat without there weakness. Ive only beat the first 4 bosses but so far with most of them all you gotta do is slide under the boss when there jumping and avoid there projectiles. I agree the game play is not as good due to the oversized characters though.
MM7 wasn't THAT bad,but Burst man,Freeze man and Wily is too hard, while I can beat freezeman without his weakness,it's almost impossible to do same with burstman. When I think about wily..well,I still got rush, right?
That's strange,but I liked Springman theme.
I choose second option in poll.
I really like it. I didn't play it when it was released, because too many other exciting things were happening in the world of video games. I wasn't too enthusiastic about the stage select format, either. Years later I had the chance to play and I was surprised at how much fun I was having.
I also like Mega Man 8 and Rockman & Forte. The Mega Man formula is just something that works.
I already finished the game and I find the gameplay the same as the old versions. I think the game would be cooler though if the producers and the game developers put a little more spice to the game like new twists and environmental elements.

in mm7, you can call rush out and he will sniff around and dig for hidden items. i think he would also indicate if you were near a secret area. i think he is talking about spending time combing through levels with rush.
i love megaman 7. one of the main reasons it is awesome is the "versus mode" thing you could do. i took this from gamefaqs:
Versus Mode
Enter the following password: 1415 5585 7823 6251
Then press and hold R & L, and push the start button. After doing so you'll be taken to the Versus Mode character select screen.
Megaman 7 was very cool and I feel privileged to own a copy, but it doesn't hold a candle to Megaman X2, released in the same year.
As ironic as it sounds, I'd say Megaman 7 is probably a good 7/10. It definetely felt more fresh than sleeper Megaman 6, it gave is Bass, Shademan and his theme is awesome, and it's nice to see the game still carries a premium all these years later. Still, that damn wily battle was among the most frustrating boss battles of any Megaman game EVER.
In my opinion, MM7 is/was "for kids". Yeah, it has some great things, like memorable tunes.
Anyway, I like the NES versions only, including the Wii.
in my opinion, all megaman is "for kids"

Not really... unless you consider a Gears of War so, yes, I'd agree.
what do you mean? the game Gears of War? i haven't played it, but i have seen others play it. sorry, man, i don't exactly get what you mean!
I've played Megaman 7, and I thought it was okay. I just liked it becuase it was another megaman game. Really nowhere near as awesome as Megaman 2 though.
