I have a powerpak with the latest KKFOS save state mappers, and I'm trying to run the Family Trainer - Jogging Race game. Is this game supported in any form by the powerpak? I've tried a few different versions of the game, but they all do the same thing in that it displays garbled random graphics. The sound plays just fine, and I'm able to press start to advance what appears to be menus, but it crashes after pressing enter a few time.
Bubble Bath Babes: CNROM compatible, 32 KiB PRG + 64 KiB CHR
Family Trainer 04: CNROM compatible, 32 KiB PRG + 128 KiB CHR
Theoretically, the PowerPak should support up to 6 bits in the CHR ROM bank register for a 512 KiB of CHR data. But certain PowerPak mapper sets have had trouble supporting oversize mappers. Once I developed a test ROM in order to make a
feature request for oversize BNROM. (Nowadays, I have an
automated tool to make test ROMs of any size.) You'll want to contact the author of the save state mapper.
Looks like I only used the bottom 2 bits of the CHR banking register in my implementation for some reason.

I tried the mappers from the retrousb website, and it appears to have the same troubles. In case that explains anything for you.
Sorry about the super late response, but does anyone know of a mapper that would play this game? I would love to have a larger library of all of the power pad games, and this one looks like it would be fun to play.
I'll probably fix this for the next version of the save state mappers, which should be released sometime soon.
I fixed it, will be in the next release.
