I want to dump some rare multicarts. However, every of them uses its unique way of switching banks (one of them for example writes to $6000 to switch chr-bank and $6004 to switch prg-bank).
I've already dumped it but now I want to make it playable on the emulator (FCEUX). I looked at the source code of many mapper implementations and problably none of them is compatibile.
So should I add new mapper support to FCEUX & recompile it? Arent't there any NES format that is self-descriptive, that is part of file header contains description (vhdl or similar) of mapper registers?
1. After downloading FCEUX source I tried to compile it under Windows but with no success
1. After downloading FCEUX source I tried to compile it under Linux (Ubuntu) and it succedeed, BUT i think there's something wrong. The Options MENU is empty. [pusty = empty]
What number of mapper should I assign? Or should I chose UNIF format? Then what should be the BOARD name?
