Is this a correct pinout for famicom carts?
i hope the ASCII shows correctly.

Hm, if you have a cart opened, one quick way to find out would be to locate a VCC pin on a chip and trace it to the cart edge. If it's like NES (and I think it is), then there should be a VCC pin on only one side.
Yeah, i found out the correct pinout with rather heavy handed way.
i was building an famicom adapter, when it was ready i accidentally
connected cart viceverca. I wonder if my cart is still functioning correctly?
it boots somewhat randomly (it's a hacked version of SMB2 lost levels)
and it strangely freezes when i try to start the game.
Damn if do, damn if we don't, but accidents will happen...
I could have opened the cart but unfortunately for me, it has been glued
together and casing material was somekind hard plastic, making it almost
impossible to open without breaking it.
Adapter by drk421 had 470ohm resistors at datalines my version is
lacking them, could this explain it's strange behaviour?

Those resistors were needed to fix sprite glitches with the Famicom Disk System. Same thing happens when I use my EPROM emulator, too.
I don't know if it would help if the program is crashing.
Yay! it works now! Thanks! i connected the resistors to PRG lines and
as if by magic it started to work, i used 560ohm resistors because i didn't
have any 470ohm resistors available at my own personal stock.
Lucky me that the cart didn't fried when i accidentally connected it incorrectly...
You know that famicon adapter document at nesdev mainsite was lacking
this bit of information, it said that the adapter should work without any
external components. I wonder who wrote that document? there no
signature of anykind.
The game i have is quite strange version of lost levels, there's no
title screen and it only has two options:
"ROMEO GAME" and "LAMBO GAME"
pretty weird stuff huh? the guy who sold this game to me said that
this cart is quite rare. Only bad thing is that the game is for NTSC
speed (i have a PAL deck), music sounds bit different, and the stat
screen is scrolling with background.

When using PAL deck it appears that there no difference between
Mario/Luigi game, could it be possible to fix this problem with GameGenie?
- Sepi
I think Luigi jumps a little higher, or handles somewhat differently. It's been a long time so I'm not sure, I used to play it on Mario All-stars on SNES and remember almost always using Luigi.
Seems to be a pretty rare cart, they're all various pirate versions so there might be some differences from the original FDS version. Maybe Luigi's gameplay differences were removed?
In Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Famicom Disk System, Luigi jumps higher and longer, but he slides around much more than Mario when you try to turn after running.
My NES to Famicom Adapter works without any electronic components, not a resistor or capacitor on it. My Famicom to NES adapter has two electrolytic capacitors, a ceramic capacitor and a resistor, mostly for the Cloned Lockout Chip.
It's strange that my adapter didn't work without the resistors,
screen was filled with garbage tiles, no sound (excl. glithcy sound sweeps)
and the game usually crashed after awhile.
