I'm confused:
PPU memory
$0000 to $1FFF is Chr RAM/ROM ie pattern tables, right?
I notice my Super Mario Bros 2 cart shorts pin 57 (CIRAM /CE) and 58 (CHR A13) effective doing what Kevtris says in his Nes Cart types doc:
"PPU access: You have A0-A13, /A13, D0-D7, /WR and /RD. A13 is usually connected to /CE of the CIRAM to enable it for addresses 0000-1FFF.
Likewise, /A13 is usually used to enable the C-ROM or C-RAM on the cart
(which is then mapped into 2000-3FFF). "
But then isn't this the opposite of the given (in all nes docs) PPU memory map? Or do only plane jane 32K/8K or less carts have their pattern tables at $0000 to $1FFF ?
