Blarrg,
How difficult would it be to create a custom GG rom that would simply dump the WRAM of any game to the second joypad port (assuming that the joypad were wired to a PC serial port)?
My Zelda-II game save slot #1 is corrupt, but passes the checksum. Link gets a 1-up every 3 EXP points. I'd love to get a dump of the WRAM before the battery dies. The cart has done this since 1991.
I was thinking that a GG would be easier to mod than building a copynes (and maybe cheaper?). I would just need an EPROM programmer (which costs nearly as much as a copynes).
I am fearful that in building a copynes I would accidentally destroy my NES CPU.
Your thoughts?
ps- if I can dump this WRAM, I'll happily share it with the nesdev community.
