Apologies if this has been suggested before, but I just thought of something. Would it be possible to make a NES cartridge that has, say, a secure digital flash memory slot in it, that lets you put ROM files on the flash card, put the flash card into the cartridge, put the cartridge/adapter into a regular NES and play the games as if it were a regular cartridge? Maybe it would include a custom multi-game menu on a rom that automatically starts up and lets you select the game you want to play. Also, it could save SRAM data to the flash card.
I'd pay some real money for that. I guess the trick would be containing the whole design in a package the size of a NES cartridge. Maybe Kevtris could tackle it?
