In the third level of Contra I noticed the audio fades in and out and some inputs were dropped. I tried it with my cart and the powerpak. It happens both times. I also noticed some graphical glitches around the main character in Time Lord today, but I haven't had a chance to test it on my NES yet.

Contra works perfectly on mine.
What firmware version are you using?  I'm still on 1.10 .  Also, let me be specific on the audio issue.  It never goes away completely.  It just get's quieter and louder as I work my way up the waterfall.

I have never updated, so I assume I'm just using the original 1.00 release. Taking a closer look at the change history (thanks Benihana), I'm not sure I have any reason to update at the moment, but I might give it a try.

The audio alone is worth updating to 1.10.

The betas add the updated color palettes, which is a big leap.

I've used 1.20b4 and currently use 1.20b6. Both were stable.

Are there any audio issues with your copy of Tetris? Mine has a subtle static sound along with the regular audio.

Audio was fixed in v1.10.  Good reason to update

Maybe I was using 1.00 by accident. Anyway, I updated to 1.120b and it works fine now.

Xexyz worked a little longer on 1.20b6.

It still freezes up, but something changed.

Or it could have just been a menu pick....?

In other news, inserting those two problematic games left side first actually works! Design flaw no doubt, but one of you guys is a wizard. Thanks!

I've found the same thing to work with my copy of Tetris. Figured it was bogus until it worked... first try.

No audio issues with Tetris here. Xexyz is the only cart giving me trouble.

Same here.

Well, good news. I just updated to v1.10 and those audio issues I was experiencing with Tetris are gone! Nice!
