I'd rather post this myself than have any confusion over things being leaked.

Despite my best efforts, the project to get the rom improved and ready for a high quality repro release have fallen through.

In my mind the right thing to do at this point case is release the rom.

http://www30.zippyshare.com/v/154...

Perhaps someone else can try and release a better version of this with the resources from the prototype rom.

My apologies to the folks excited about an improved game and a nice box/new manual/cart release. Things just didn't come together.

Don't apologize my man. If anything, I'm far more excited for an as-is release than a modified dump.

Thank you and congrats on the release!

Sorry that it didn't work out for you. Thanks for the ROM, though! Nice to see two new Famicom releases so close together.

Wow! Really Thanks so much dude! This has been a great couple of months for us Famicom fans!

After playing a bit through I have noticed a few glitches:
(Running on New+FCE Ultra Emulator)

-The Health and Energy tally appears at the start up of the game before the main cut scene and kind of drags into it for a second
-When you start level 1 the Health and Energy tally appears, goes away and flashes for a second or two before appearing for good
-The Enemies flash as the screen scrolls down and may or may not be there by the time Strider gets to that level.
-Enemies have orange colored highlights not in US version....could be glitch but I think this is just a cool difference when compared to the US release!
-If you die on the spikes and it goes back to the title screen, the title screen will be more blue with random pink squares shining through....

Im not very good at this game so if anyone else out there can help me catalog the glitches, maybe we can work together to fix it up ourselves!

I never really liked this game...

...

Though, it's a great piece of history... recovered, so... there's that. Thankies.

...

Note: I didn't mean to sound like a jerk or anything... I'm just... not THAT interested...

Is this version beatable? I got to almost the end, after the Matic battle, but after that, you go to the white area, and after that, the last boss glitches into the background.

Thanks. Look forward to seeing the differences documented on TCRF.

Now all that's left to do is to track down that impossibly rare soundtrack tape.
