In the aspect of supply and demand no one will want to buy at that price and dunny will have to move first before the consumer will. I don't see this catching on.

Man, that's the nicest Clu Clu box I've seen in a long time though. He's got a CIB DK Jr Math as well for $499 that's also in good shape.

Yeah, it's hard to put a specific range on what a fair condition premium is on items like Clu Clu Land, given how tough it is to get in any condition. I'd say it's high myself, but I can also see one selling for that price if someone is desperate enough to get a box that nice.

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

If there is copies of that game buy it now for $20 shipped or less why would a box and manual make it worth 10x+ as much?

I am relatively new to collecting these games but I still can't justify that..

I saw him when he was listing last night and thought of Fris instantly haha. That DK Math isn't "Excellent" for sure, definite damage to bottom left front. Otherwise it would have been a damn good deal for a NM title.

So I bet his Clu Clu Land has similar problems. Usually a "MINT" title has a Minty manual with it, and his manual shows some wear. I wouldn't even think this one is worth more than $100.

Yeah, but rarityguide also has things listed at incredibly low prices as well.  I gurantee you that a NIB Clu Clu land is worth far more than the $166 that rarityguide.com lists.

It's a neat site, but the prices just are never correct or current (high and low side both).

You cant justify it - but supply and demand can. notice there are carts listed , but only one CIB. Some games are practically equal in rarity complete as they are cart only, so it doesnt deviate much. Others, like stadium events, the cart is rare as it is (bringing $2000 for jus the cart), then CIB ($5,000-$15,000?) then sealed ($20,000+, last one went for over $40k, right?). Realize, there are less than 5 sealed copies known. Cart only is the easiest and cheapest way to go, and it shouldnt be hard to complete it. CIB is next, followed by Sealed being the hardest. There may be 200 sealed collectors out there, but they will never have a complete collection until they own that stadium events - or any other rare sealed game, and it just becomes a battle of who will pay more to attain it. Of course, the right cash will always complete it faster.

By the way, nice car I have a 88 Trans am GTA. You should find the members rides page and post more pics.

Back on topic, FYI, I tried to side deal with the ebay seller offering him a little over $100 (expecting a counter offer), and he says he has a current high offer of $230. I was shocked! But then I think to myself, if someone is willing to pay that much, why penny pinch on the $20? Idk. He said he got these 5+ years ago, and has decided to sell. Im shocked at just seeing that a CAN version sold for $175 like a week ago. I will say the last NTSC one that sold went for $60-80 though, and that wasnt less than a month ago. But yea. $230 is his offer supposedly

Seller doesn't have a $230 offer on it. Not saying that you believed him, but that's a real easy bluff to call.

I would if I find that page.  I have an 86 iroc-z as well that we changed over to a holley carb, that car hates me too and will never stay running.  My white one has some major electrical issues and wont start.
