I guess this won't be allowed.

Let us even the field.
I guess everyone will break 1.4 million this week.
I will confirm this strategy tomorrow.

I will NOT break even 100k! I'm at 60k and I'm okay with that!

Well, it works.
Score update page 1. Dropped my run on stage 6 because SFV is about to start on EVO.
But I have a goal of breaking 2 millions this week.

I didn't know that until I watched the playthrough. That should make it much easier.

EDIT: It doesn't make it any easier.

I can't wrap my head around Klax at all. This rivals Yoshi for my least favorite puzzle game this year.

Way better than Yoshi. Stacking your deck(?) gives it depth

I will post a video tomorrow at the latest.
Hopefully that will help you to visualize how to get the combos to work.
It is possible to finish the 1st stage with 2 million points from my calculations, if you get a good pattern.
I am also working on how to identify if the pattern will be good or not and will post info on it as soon as I have it.

I think the 2015 contest is the only time I finished ahead of you at a puzzle game. I guess that explains how I did it!

I can't figure out how to play this. I have trouble setting up anything because I mostly get random colors that I can't use. Trying to push tiles back only results in more fallen tiles.

I haven't played this since the 2015 contest, but it seemed like there was a bit of a learning curve and I had to look up the manual to get the hang of it. Once I got it figured out, it seemed like it was a lot more fun.

Score update page 1, 2,215,700.
I am enjoying this a lot. I will post video on the next two or so days and try to elaborate on the combo system.
Breakdown for this run was 1,700,000 on wave 1, 200,000 on wave 2, 15,000 on wave 3, about 15,000 on wave 4, about 40,000 on wave 5, about 220,000 on wave 16 with warp bonus and 15,000 on wave 17.
Theorical max for stage 1 is around 2,250,000 points from my calculations. That would involve a lot of luck and nerves of steel.

The highest point combo I've gotten for stage one is around 257k. I'm trying to figure out how to get the million points.

I just messaged the setup for a 1,700,000 board on round 1.

Wave 1 will be key this week.
It is much easier to set up the board for a huge combo than the other waves. But requires tons of resets till you get good RNG.
