I have the opportunity to purchase a small lot of 8 games, 3 sealed

bases loaded - sealed
pga european tour - sealed (box looks a little beat)
golf - sealed (has dented/ creased area on the back bottom edge, doesn't affect the front at all, front and sides look beautiful)

mouse trap hotel - CIB - great shape
castlevania II - CIB - great shape
Wario Land II - CIB - million seller - great shape
kirbys pinball land - CIB - good shape
oddworld adventures - CIB - meh?

any ideas?

I don't know about prices.. but for some reason picking up some CIB gameboy games has seemed really appealing to me lately.
I wish I knew more about them.

the real downside is since not many people collect them, there's no real set prices for CIB stuff
and cart only varies so much you never know how that'll go

the best one in there would be the castlevania 2 which will bring $40-50. I still need Mouse Trap Hotel if you end up picking these up

oddworld adventures can be pretty difficult to find CIB. I'd pick it up if it was under $20 or so. Maybe even $30 if it was real nice.

And of course Castlevania

It looks like if you have Really nice/complete copy of Castlevania II that it could fetch a pretty penny...

http://cgi.ebay.com/CASTLEVANIA-2...

Seems like that's a nice lot to pick up if the price is right.

You reckon I sold my copy too cheap, TheFrisbee?

If I had known I was going to be collecting Gameboy, and that the game itself is worth quite a bit, I would not have sold it

I'm by no means a expert on Gameboy.. heck I dont even consider myself half knowledgeable on it.

But considering that yours was in a wee bit lesser condition, and was quite as complete I'd say that you did fine.
Perhaps you could have squeezed a few more bucks out of it.. but you didn't take a $40 loss by any means.

Way too cheap Hardbody. Trust me, Castlevania II on GB is almost as rare as Legends. I wouldnt sell one for any less than $80 and thats pushing it.

Not according to ebay prices..considering the completeness and condition. :\

Edit: although thats just considering the 3 that had sold in the last month or so...

Well, actually... theyve been popping up like crazy in the past 3 months, so maybe the price is dropping. I still wouldnt sell for any less than $80. I saw one hit 150 once. a few at 125. and a ton over 100. But like Frisbee said, lately they have been ending lower. This game always sticks out in my mind. My best find ever. I was looking for one complete for my castlevania collection. Came across someone listed one as new. I didnt think it was really new but i bought it, $15. Sure enough, factory sealed, looked on ebay, two CIB had just ended, one for $102 and one for $125. I had no idea they were worth anything and here i am with a $15 sealed one. Looked back, she still had one listed for $15. bought that one too. Sealed. Asked her how many more she had and how much she wanted. She had 19 more. She wanted $200. So i paid $230 for 21 Factory sealed Castlevania II for GB. A made a ton of money from that. I still have 3 left

Well like you said though, lately they have been hitting lower or around $80. But i would sell. Im pissed though because a 10/10 Castlevania II CIB was one of the games i traded to NOFRIENDO for that SNES Kiosk. Which turned out to be a piece of shit. I woulda never traded that game if i knew it was going to turn out like that

I've seen legends get to $80-$100 plus but CVII isn't that bad, I still think $40-$50 is fair, I've seen them every once in a while creep up, but average is still more $40-50ish

i have yet to ever see legends go bellow $125. Except the one i got on amazon. Auction on ebay i have never seen one go lower than $125. Legends is more rare than Dracula X. As a huge castlevaia fan i watch these all the time hoping to get a second one. Dracula X you can buy any day CIB for $100. Its always on. Legends you hardly ever see.

Legends is tough, yeah I don't see a CIB much below $100 if at all. CVII is what I was mainly talking about.

Belmont's Revenge CIB is one of my last needs as a game collector (I'm at close to 600 games, all complete, all black label) I finally gave up before and bought the Japanese version complete, but I want the U.S. version. There was a sealed one that went for $50 the other day that made my mouth drop (probably sold within minutes of being listed) while just days before that I bid $148 and got outbid on a CIB. It's a frustrating game to get complete to say the least. I am amazed at what Fantomex was able to pull off getting like 20 sealed copies for $15 each!! That is awesome, probably the best score I've ever heard of. I'd be happy just finding 1 complete for less than $100. On top of that I need Turtles III Radical Rescue, which is hard as hell to find complete as well.

I had the same problem a year or two ago with Ninja Gaiden Shadow, you just could not find it complete. I finally landed one that got listed for around $40 (the European version, which is identical to the U.S. version) Original Game Boy games can make a collector go nuts if they insist they be complete like I do. (unless you have fantomex's luck apparently.   )

I crawled down to the basement when the weather got cold, like a lost... lamb... re-turn-ing to the fold, and when, the out.....side world recedes from view, it's just a year's supply of make-up.... and memories of you. 1967, colt 45, holding back the vampires, keeping me alive. There's an envelope.... with some cash in it, out by the front door. This is what they make you take... the medication for!
