If the above doesn't fix it, and I determine you need a replacement component[s]; cap, resistor, whatever... I will pm you and ask you what you want me to do and the price for the part[s]. I would just charge you whatever the parts cost [no labor].

EDIT: Also, did you find out if the board was loose inside the shell? If so, was there any plastic pieces loose inside?

There was no loose plastic. It seems as though the screws just weren't very tight. But given that I only have a melted pen, I can't get it tight enough.

Guys, the proper terminology for these "pipes" you all are refering to these are called solider traces fyi .

Also I would probably just transplant that into a good NHL 95 or a Madden 95 board, these games if abused or cleaned with an abrasive cleaner will case the copper/solider to rot and degrade overtime like that NES cart photo'd above.

We did this with a Chrono Trigger that the board was destroyed, after we put the rom chips on a Madden 95 the game works flawlessly as if nothing happend. (you will lose all your save data but who cares you will have a working game again!)

Thread of the Chrono Trigger Repair is here.

Haha I think they were saying pipes as a layman's term. And thank you for the info. I'll probably have a copy of Madden 95 sent to ulasamosa.

Hope you get that Earthbound resurrected from the dead. I think reviving it with a new board would be the ideal fix.

So apparently there were several broken traces haha. I guess I don't have the eye for this shit, unsurprisingly. ulasamosa is going to try to fix them and if that doesn't work, he's going to transplant it to an NHL 97 board. If anyone has an extra copy so I don't have to bother with eGay or Amazon, shoot me a PM por favor!

Patching it up didn't work so he did a transplant.
