Ok, I assume most people here have subscriptions to Video Game Collector magazine like I do.

So my question is in the new issue #7 they have a photo checklist of all (not really) NES boxes in a checklist format. However I am very puzzled because they show a picture and they list a price for a complete in box $5 Superspike V'Ball/Nintendo World Cup double cart. I have NEVER seen a box for this cart. I thought it was only packaged with the specific system but they show a box?

Anyone have any info?

One other funny note, the picture of Stadium Events they show is a PAL box.

It doesn't have a box as far as I know. Take a scan of it if you don't mind. I don't have a sub. to it.

The price guide section lists the cart at $5 and complete in box at $9. So I am very confused here??

Page is from NES photo checklist of the boxes.

You should email them and ask if they really have a picture of the box or is it an error.

Has to be an error. One would have surfaced by now. Not that I have really looked for one, has anyone?

That's likely an advertisement picture, similar to insert brochures have, not from an actual box.

It looks just like the front of the cart label to me.

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

See I thought the same thing, they must have just used the front of the cart label. However, that doesn't explain why they would purposely list it at $5 cart only and $9 complete in the box. The other non-box double games like SMB/DH etc all say N/A in the CIB column. So herce my utter confusion on this. I have spoken to the publishers of the magazine via email numerous times maybe they would be good enough to answer this question for me as I would really like to know!!
