Sorry feel asleep bidding on the Castlevania Black Seal last night, I finished 2nd :-(

Anyway in terms of value you are looking at upper hundreds.  Without the stickers probably 1K. This is a beautiful piece and better condition than the 80+ on eBay.

However despite what others have stated Moe is right stickers absolutely effect the grade.  I was very very lucky to get an 85+ on my Pro Wrestling and that was with tiny stickers.  If they could easily be removed then no worries.  However if you don't have much experience removing stickers go ahead and leave them as this probably isn't the piece to attempt your first sticker removal

Sent an offer. AWESOME job picking this up dude.

Guys stop telling him to grade it unless those stickers are removed safely, otherwise leave it alone. Why on earth would you grade it knowing it will probably max out at 85 with the stickers...and then have it sealed up?

Yeah, that's as legit as the day is long. Amazing stuff (and yeah, I'd grade it and try to have them remove the stickers). I'd probably hang onto it, also (this game, IIRC, used to be worth around $900-$1200 ungraded some 3 or 4 years ago...with any resurgence in SNES collecting, those numbers will be back or surpassed before long).

If you read this from Joey's post down it looks like it will be a fight over who gives him (nes_pimp) the most well paid and fun gloryhole experience.

you mean there's another way to interpret this thread?   Its just a legit transaction and nothing more?

Darn it.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

OK, yes I did get hit with some offers, and no I'm not sure if I will sell it. Looking at the stickers I don't think it will really be a problem to get them off, but there is no way I am going to attempt it. They've been on the thing since '98, and unless a professional has at it they are staying there while I own it.

I appreciate the offers and all of the advice. I don't have any experience with VGA grading, so I will be doing some research either way. It's a hard decision. I've never been a big SNES or sealed game collector, but I also understand that this makes for a great collection piece. I'll post when I have made my decision to let everyone interested know.

^The first one to send in, is always the toughest. I recommend expediated service on your first one, because at the lowiest tier, it seems like forever to get it back.

I also agree, leave the sticker removal attempt up to the professionals, if you don't have any experience!

Trust me though, it's piece of mind, having something graded, because the grade can only go down over time, never up.

only reason i dont like video game grading is they can open the game. w out u confirmation. n prices asking for resale value isnt worth a purchase. imo. but thats me. if ur a seller thats good. collector. i dont care. i can spot a legit seal from a phony. dont need a sticker n case to tell me otherwise. n they can ruin the value.

the look of a graded game alone is worth it, check the VGA thread for post from new VGA owners, they cant say enough about the presentation.

It's worth every penny
