Welcome to WEREWOLF XI: The Negaverse
[Game Settings]
Game Start:
7/11/2017, 11 PM EST/NintendoAge Time
Game Day length:
3 Days/72 Hours
Game Night Length:
48 Hours
Day Start/End Times:
11 PM EST (or 11 PM NintenoAge time)
Number of Players:
21
RULES: (copied from Kokiri, Red, and Fox, modified to fit the theme / updated info)
1.] Object of the Game
The object of "Are you a werewolf" is dependent on which side of the game you're on. The majority of players are split between 2 factions (werewolf and town), while others may be an independent player if the GM decides to use them.
2.] Game Days and Game Nights
The Game Day is divided into 2 cycles: Day and Night. Some characters may have abilities that can be used during the daytime, or nighttime, depending on the abilities and will be noted on a players role card.
2a.] Game Day
The Game Day will last the duration specified in the
[GAME SETTINGS] section above. During this time, players may post freely in the main WEREWOLF XI thread (unless otherwise specified). During this period, players are encouraged to remove a player from the game by casting a majority vote in which player to lynch, or remove permanently from the game. Once night falls and the Day Summary as been posted, nobody is allowed to post in the main thread until the beginning of the next Game Day. The game day ends when 51% or greater of votes are cast or when the day duration ends, whichever comes first.
For example, if there are 12 players, 7 votes are needed for a lynch, which will end the day.
2b.] Game Night
Unless otherwise stated by a mod, the Game Night will last 48 hours, or 2 full days. During this period, any player with a night role may choose to use their skills by PM'ing the GM (dra600n). At the end of the night, a Night Summary will be posted and will begin the next Day.
3.] Voting
Voting can happen at any time during the Game Day as long as your character is allowed to speak. To vote, all you need to do is either
bold your vote like this:
or by using asterisks (*) like this:
Failure to do either will result in the vote not being counted.
You may also change your vote anytime you'd like you, except when the final vote for the day occurs. Unvoting does not need to be in the same post as a vote. To unvote, follow the guidelines above for voting:
-
UNVOTE: dra600n
-
**UNVOTE: dra600n
Failure to do so will result in the unvote not being counted and all other votes during the Game Day to be invalid.
3a.] Self Voting: A player may
not vote for themselves under normal circumstances. Unless something is publicly announced by a GM that may lead players to believe a player may be under a spell or skill influence that removes the self voting ruling, everything is consider a normal circumstance.
4.] Posting
Unless otherwise stated by the GM, all posting will cease at the time of the last lynch vote or when the time for the Day to ends, whichever occurs first. Warnings are as follows:
-
First Offense: Warning
-
Second Offense: Replacement (if a replacement can't be made, a modkill will take place)
-
First Offense for a lynched player: 1 Game Ban (if discussion that could alter the game takes place)
The 1 Game Ban might sound strict, but this could potentially ruin the fun for other players if they've been working on a strategy that adheres to the rules and guidelines.
Do not quote verbatim anything from the GM. You may paraphrase, reword, summarize, etc. any messages, but nothing can be a direct quote (even if you give citations and use MLA format).
First offense: Modkill/Replacement
You may double post. Sometimes this game can move quickly and you may miss some stuff that was posted during your response. Triple posting is allowed
after 45 minutes of inactivity in the thread.
4a.] Private Messages, Deleting Posts, and Editing Posts
All are a no-no.
-
First offense for Private Messages and Editing Posts: Warning
-
Second offense for PM's and Editing Posts: Replacement (or modkill if a replacement isn't available)
-
First offense for deleting a post: 1 game ban + modkill
If I deem you causing trouble with too many First Offenses, I have right to Replace or Modkill you, and if the situation is deemed severe enough by at least three approved NintendoAge mods, bans from future games, or blacklisting may be applied to a rule-breaker.
5.] Modkills
Modkills may happen at anytime the GM deems fit and necessary. Anyone who purposefully tries to get themselves modkilled to alter the game will receive a 1 game ban. Modkills will be annouced in the day or night summaries. Night captures are not considered modkills, but kills of skill/ability owner.
6.] Death
Death is not permanent unless otherwise stated by the GM. While your character is in a death state, you may not post in the main thread under and circumstances until the game is over. This includes bumps, vote counts, etc. First offense: One Game Ban
7.] Inactivity
Inactivity is considered to have less than 2 posts during the Game Day. This is ignored for exceptionally short game days (less than 50% of the alotted time) or prematurely ended.
-
First Offense: PM Reminder
-
Second Offense: Replacement/Modkill
8.] Common Roles
Below is a list of common roles that are typically found in Werewolf. These roles are not set in concrete and may be altered by the GM, new roles may be created, and other roles may not make an appearance. This is just to give you an idea of what roles look like and what their basic functions may be.
-
Townie/Vanilla Townie: No Night Role, must use logic to find the wolves by what they say during the Day.
-
Mason: No Night Role. May speak, at times defined by the Moderator, with another specified member of the town outside of the game thread. Usually defined as Town/Town aligned, but can sometimes not be so.
-
Neighbor: No Night Role. May speak, at times defined by the Moderator, with another specified member of the village outside the game thread. No defined Role Alignment pairing.
-
Priest: Night Role. May try to save one member of the village from attacks during the Night. Whether this saves them from all attacks or just one is up to the moderator.
-
Seer: Night Role. May investigate one member of the village to learn their alignment.
-
Detective: Night Role. May investigate one member of the village to learn their Role Card/Abilities.
-
Tracker: Night Role. May follow one member of the village to see what they do.
-
Watcher: Night Role. May follow one member of the village to see who targets them.
-
Vigilante/Independent: Night Role. May remove one member of the village from the game.
-
Role Blocker: Night Role. May stop member of the village from using their role.
-
Alpha: Passive. Investigations of their Alignment return as "Town."
9.] Clarification of Rules, Roles, etc.
If there's some clarification on the rules that you'd like from the GM, you may ask in the main game thread. Questions that would alter the game play if answered will not be answered, such as "GM, does exist in this game". If you need clarification on a role or anything that might identify you in any regard, it would benefit the player to contact the GM via Private Messaging.
