Hey everyone. I joined and started posting a few days ago after lurking for a bit, but realized I never did a proper intro thread.
First off it's great to be here, what an awesome forum. Getting a real kick out of seeing others' collections.
A little about myself: I'm 27 and was born in 1985, the same year the...well you know, I forgot who I'm talking to. When I was a little kid, my parents weren't big on video games and wouldn't let me have a consol so I neve had the NES. Of course I played it plenty at friends and relative's houses and loved it to death.
When I was around 8, in an attempt to break my parent's brutal blockade, I asked them if I could purchase an SNES if I saved the money myself. They relented. Of course it took 6 months or more of saving birthday money and weekly allowances, but I finally got one at a Black Friday sale. I later moved on to the N64.
Fast Forward to 2000. I still regretted never owning an NES and was able to acquire one + 6 games from a neighbor. A few months later was my birthday and I found an awesome lot on Ebay for a bday present that included: 4 controllers, a zapper gun (didn't have one), and about 30 games. And all for about $60. That's when I started seriously collecting, and now have about 150 games. I know that's relatively small to some collector's here, but I'm still workin' on it. I still buy for SNES and N64, but NES is my focus.
Looking forward to chatting with you all.
Here's some pics of my modest collection on page 184 of

I also recently purchased an RDP v2 and if interested, you can read my impressions on page 12 of
this thread.
