just wondering has anyone been to the E3 expo in Cali ???

I've received invites but never went...a bit expensive

Yeah, I've been to it 6 times (from '98 through '03), but haven't gone the last few years. I hear they're starting to crack down on who can attend, etc, so I doubt I'll personally be going anytime soon

It was a lot of fun though, the years I attended.

did you ever get any free items?

I was always invited by the HK companies...for some reason they wanted to meet me...LOL

they said they had a booth at E3...today I bet there banned...lol

Oh yeah, tons of free stuff -- shirts, pins, yo-yo's, figures, etc... I used to pack light just so I could fly back all the stuff they gave away. I also got a few things from my brother Sloan when he worked for Red Storm Entertainment. In fact, it was at E3 that he went with me, portfolio in hand, and talked with Steve Reed. He got an interview on the spot, and was hired about a month later (after another gazillion interviews in Morrisville, NC). I think he was around 19 at the time. The part I miss about that was he used to get super discounted games (like $5 each).

now thats a discount

I heard it costs manufacturers between $.50 and $2 to make a game, is that true?

when i was flashing microchips prices fluctuated on these blank pic chips...between $.50 and $1.50
