Is the version of Legendary Wings included in Capcom Arcade Cabinet (PSN version) acceptable?

Only if it is exactly the same as the NES version.

A quick Wikipedia check tells me that it's based on the Arcade version and that there are significant differences between the Arcade and NES version.

That said, might as well get hit by all the faces.  There's points to be had in those Danger zones!
Yeah that was pretty much my thought as well, why avoiding these danger zones when there's points to grap there! You must live a dangerous life to win contest!

Haha, yeah I realized that after I made the post. I'm just so used to trying to avoid the Danger stages that I didn't even think about it, derp! I'll give it another shot tonight

I cleared the game with a 1+ million score last night, but I didn't realize how quickly the score display would fade away to the credits roll... GRRRRR!

*score updated in my first post*

Balloon_Kid (and everyone else)

THIS INFORMATION IS INCORRECT!!!
After you beat the game the screen will display your score quickly.
Then... The credits roll and after a minute or 2 the normal continue screen will pop up again.

Hope this helps  anyone that misses the first score display.

You could also pause just after beating the final boss and take the picture then

I'll probably put up a score on Friday. I just tried tonight, but my cart doesn't work for some reason, so I'm gonna swing by my nearby store to see if they have one, otherwise it will be on the emulator. Luckily shooters aren't too bad on emulators.

*updated score again*

Please disregard what I wrote previously!

The reason I thought this happened was I was celebrating as the credits rolled, then took a pee break.
When I came back, the continue screen was up.

Upon beating the game again, I did not record my high score - thinking the continue screen would eventually come up.
However, this did not happen.

What did happen was the game restarted by itself and my angel flew into enemies and died.
THIS NETS EXTRA POINTS AND SHOULD NOT BE DONE

If you beat the game, take a precautionary screen shot right after beating the final boss and ready your camera for the "Final Score" screen which only appears for a few seconds and then disappears.

I have no problem with people posting scores in this manner. Does anyone else object?

*edit* Forthe record, I went through the game AGAIN once I realized my mistake and posted a pic of the true final screen for fairness.

Can't you simply pause the game once it restart at level 1?

I missed some enemies in the last couple stages, which is unfortunate, but at least I got all of the Lucky areas.
This is it for me, no time the rest of the week

So no using your continues, correct?

Edit: Used one to see what happens. I see your score resets and I started back at the first screen, soooooo doesn't matter.

Pretty good! Have been able to fully use it since tuesday. No pain and all the blisters are gone. The last one ruptured yesterday. What's crazy is that the blisters that were there have been replaced by thick callouses. Some of the affected areas of my fingers seriously feel like the bottom of my heel.

Sorry you were having problems with your hand, Guts. Sounds nasty! Glad it's getting better.

As for the scores, I assume you guys are using the second-to-last powerup to get more enemies on at least the last stage? I probably should have done that, but I hate that weapon!

I stayed fully powered up the whole way. I don't like the 4th upgrade,it seems weaker than the 3rd and 2nd one. I know I missed a lot of enemies on this run,but I did get all the lucky rooms though.

Guts: glad to see you are able to play again and I'm sure those calluses will start to come off sooner or later!

Ookii: That weapon sucks but is useful in certain areas for sure

Yep, it seems weaker, but it does have more of a range. Hmmm... I'm wondering what I missed. I only played it a few times, but it seemed like the score was pretty much the same each playthrough. The only other thing I can think of is to farm the flying eyeballs, but I wasn't going to do that.
