Here it is folks. Your one stop, go-to, NES prototype reference page. You got a prototype you'd like to brag about, here's your chance. This post will be continually updated. Just like any of our other running list on this site, please update both when you've bought and sold a prototype. Also, please note if a prototype is a PAL release. Updated!

Thanks for writing a little history with it. Mark and I have kept pretty good records of how much we paid and where they came from, so I will update that as we go. I also have a TON of EPROMs I need to look through to add some games to my list.

I wouldn't mind keeping this NES exclusively for the time being. I plan on starting an "Everything else" proto listing thread shortly as well. I will leave the GB prototype in the mix for the time being though.

Onto the discussion:
Did you know you were purchasing a prototype when you bought Bubble Ghost? That's a rather remarkable price!

Great idea, I enjoy seeing which protos are in the hands of NA members, especially the unreleased ones. I didn't even know some of those existed (USA Bowling...Super Xevious, cool)!

I've only got two protos, both PAL first party titles:

Four Players' Tennis & Chessmaster

No.  Hahaha!

I think I want to keep it only officially releases for now.  I think HB prototypes should stick around the brewery for the time being.  I think that makes the most sense.

Updated, but I omitted Sudoku and Midi NES for the times being.  I think this should really only be official releases for now.

Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with that prototype.  Is it unreleased or a variation of Pyramid for the NES.

And as a sidenote, GameTimeVault is DreamTR's eBay account.

Its the regular game, it's a prototype board for switching it from 60 to 72 pin connectivity.

Actually, I saw a strange listing on Anaea (here at NintendoAge) that said "EEPROM Version" and I thought for $10 I would find out if it was or not. Yep, it was! Funny thing is that I checked the backlogs of completed listings and it had been on there for months.

So this is a testament to use Anaea! I scored a proto RIGHT HERE ON NA for $10!

That is awesome.

My brother swears by Anaea.  He's found some insanely good deals with it, and it seems like NA's best kept secret.

I'm surprised by the interest in homebrew prototype titles.  Like I stated earlier, I definitely want to stick to official releases for this thread.  If someone wants to make a supplemental thread for HB protos, they can feel free to do so.  This thread will be home to the real deal exclusively.

I have a proto for Caveman Games that is different than the released version. I bought it for $125 on ebay from a dude that found it in a flea market in CA

Edit: Here's his original finds thread  -

So he originally bought it for $2.

I will need to know the regions (NTSC Vs. PAL) and which version of Pacman you have.  Thanks!

Ah, my mistake. . . But a mistake with a reason.  When the game was first discovered, people were calling it Arcadia IV as a joke.  The game consist of 6 mini-games, only four of which are complete.  There's an old thread on DP where Buyatari discusses it.  I will have to dig it up later.
