Hello and welcome to the seventh round of the second Sega Master System Weekly Contest!  This week's game is Out Run.  Sure, it's not as smooth as the arcade original, but I still get a kick out of it and hope anyone who gives it a try does too.

Rules:
-Play until Game Over or you beat the game
-Take any route you want
-Highest score wins

For general contest rules, click here:

Good luck and have fun!

SCOREBOARD:

1.  19,429,020 (acromite53)
2.   4,351,440 (Yoshi)

Love Outrun. This version is pretty impressive for the hardware. It's still fun to play even after the arcade version was released on switch. Still haven't beaten that one yet.

This was the first version of Out Run I played, so whenever I play a more accurate port, it just doesn't feel right to me.  I get the same feeling with Space Harrier too.   I enjoy playing the choppy SMS version more than the smooth 32X version.

Is that 4,351,440 or 4,851,440?  The 3 looks like an 8 to me in the picture.

As much as I would like to claim its an 8, its indeed a 3. I got those two scores close to one another, so maybe I'll crack 4,800,000 later today. Fun port, I've always liked Outrun.

Pardon the double post, but is there a better way to post pictures? The NA picture uploader always seems to compress my photos and I've seen pictures here in much higher resolution.

Thanks, I'll probably start using that!
