Just as the topic states, how much is a complete NES collection worth CIB? Looking for low and high values.

When I mean complete, I am talking about 1 of every game, to be considered owning the complete set. There are lists out there. I am not including variants, or rare variants, just average CIB of the title.

I have never seen anyone sell a CIB collection, only cart only collection, so I would be curious at to how much the value would be spiked. I also realize you would maybe get more money piecing it out, just talking values.

Also assume all CIB's are graded at 8/9. Pretty fair that way.

I am just curious because after 2 years I hit a 250 CIB milestone, and just wondering what my final goal will be worth.

Thanks!

lol, a kajillion bazillion dollars maybe? I guess this is an interesting thread but the responses will just be a bunch of made up numbers that people pulled out of their ass.

Having said this, I'd say 22k in the current economy, even with figuring SE at around 10-11k.

I thought a CIB stadium events was more around 7-8k?

Either way, I was thinking total would be above 20k. Anyone else have input to this?

A CIB SE would be very hard to price seeing as there are what, less than 10 known? And the people who have them aren't going to part with them for very cheap at all.

well, SE is the oddball in this equation. How about everything except SE CIB? Unless there are other oddballs that would drastically increase the price of the CIB collection.

se = 10k+
myriad = 2.5k
panesians = 3k
f2 = 1k
caltron = 1k
c2 = 0.5k

in those 8 games, you could total almost 20k

the remaining 750+ or whatever would go for a decent amount too, so i would put it around 27-30k or so.

$30,000. A complete loose collection went for $21,000, so that's just an estimate for CIB value.

where did a complete loose set sell for that much?

if that is true, then a complete cib set would be somewhere in the range of 45-55k

Yeah for real... I've never heard of a complete collection selling for 5 digits at all...

There's two questions to be asked here.

What's a complete collection WORTH and What a complete collection will SELL FOR. We all know that bulk lots never sell for as much as they would if pieced out.

If a loose set sold for $21k, mine is currently for sale for $20k

I'd be interested what a CIB set would sell for, but anyone who sold it in one shot would be throwing away money. They'd make much more piecing it out.

I remember that auction, and I'm pretty sure that's the one that ended up selling for even more behind the scenes due to its publicity (the 21K ending price did not meet the reserve).

Massive bump after I searched for this exact topic. It's been almost 10 years since this thread and I bet it's jumped quite a bit. I was curious what the complete lose collection would be this weekend. I would think that some of the apps out there could ballpark it pretty easily.

Granted, GVN has had some issues polling new sales data from ebay since December, but they have some collective numbers at the top of this page:

That's awesome, thanks! Man, I would have thought the loose value would be higher.

Another note about GVN. I still use there "global" numbers but I think go over to PriceCharting.com, which still has active numbers and an average price chart. So, I take their average price and figure out the change percent since December 16th (which is the last time GVN was allowed to update their prices.) . That's the best way I can come up with the value sets. If Price Charting would show the total value, it'd be easier, but they include hardware and popular PAL/Japanese titles so it's hard to really say based off of their numbers.
