So it seems pretty much out of nowhere The Pokemon Company released a new mobile game on iOS / Android today. 

Its a 1v1 figure strategy game. I played it for a little bit just to check it out and it shows some early promise.
Seems to be using the model that Hearthstone uses. Collecting/opening packs but gives you lots of ways to get currency so that you really never need to spend money.

I'll try it out a bit while watching some tv tonight.

Is this based on an old trading figure game? I have a spinny figure like that I picked up from the Nintendo Store maybe 10 years ago. Ah well, free to play, buy booster packs of digital figures. Not my jam personally.

Hmmmm neat I will download and try it, thanks for the heads up. Weird that I hadn't heard anything about it until now.
