SNES NBA Jam label variant with NBA hologram? Probably not but thought I'd ask.

I was comparing the condition of my dupes to decide which to keep and which to pass on when I realized that one of my copies of the standard SNES NBA Jam had the NBA Licenced Product hologram sticker on the upper left of the front portion of the label. A quick look on eBay and I don’t see any listings like that.

I’m pretty sure someone just peeled this off the box or shrink wrap and applied it to the game label but the thought that it might be a promotional copy or something where they stuck it there because it never had a box or shrink wrap.

Anyone ever seen this?

Think you are correct that it was peeled from the box or wrap and re-apply to cart's label.

Yeah, I think it's a transplant. I could be wrong, but while I do think it's a proper product sticker, I don't think any loose carts would show it as it's something you'd place on the outside of a new product such as this:

Yeah uh...I did stuff like this as a kid. Put the Mega Man 2 sticker on the front of the instruction manual. The thought process behind it eludes me though. Because I could? The manual's cover was too plain jane I guess.
