It's been a while since i posted this , but I'm thinking about selling my Revision A N64 Test Cartridge i got from a buddy who use to work for an electronics repair place.  I have no idea what it is worth and cant find too much current info or pricing on it.  If anyone know what this cart would be going for now it be much helpful.

Test carts in general go for $200-300+.
64 ones are hard to come by from what I know though.

They don't come up very often. I've heard they are some of the rarest test cartridges. Nes freak has one maybe he'll chime in. If I remember right the last one I seen sell was around 500.

Cool cart! I am sure you will have plenty of interested buyers, so it should not be so hard to sell. Good luck either way!

Yeah some people are guessing regular test cart prices but for sure this is rare and also has seen alot of increased interest because of the rarity

Well let me caveat my statement a bit.

If you can find one at auction, perhaps you could get it at low as $600. You might see one of those once a year if you're lucky.

If you are buying it privately, then you should expect to spend $1k or so, especially in condition as nice as this. I've seen ones with damaged front and back labels, and back labels on these aren't just interchangeable with a normal cart. The only way to upgrade one is to buy another test cart and sell your downgraded copy.

I've turned down offers significantly above $1k in the past too.

Well it was sitting in a box for at least 4 years after i got it between moving and such. He did say he barely used it to test systems out though. I have seen people saying $500 to over $1000. I was just trying to figure out a price to either start it at for auction or a private sale price,

I could be mistaken but, didn't you win one at auction for $600 not to long ago?

Yes it was a Rev B too, which is probably 4 or 5 times as rare as the Rev A.  I'm glad no one bid me up to my max, I wish I could have bought two at that price!  Got a great steal indeed.  That was the first open auction on any N64 test cart in at least 15-18 months.

I don't know if using jjs sold out listed price can be taken with a grain of salt.

Ha, says the guy trying to buy one.  I have haven't seen a N64 test cart sell at $300 or below since 2010 probably.  To put that in prespective, the Majora's Mask Gray NFR was also probably about $250-$300 back then, and now it is $1800+.  Test cart pricing should be pretty darn comparable to the MM Gray NFR... and I think the test cart is maybe a hair rarer too.

Yeah. The thing is, history shows those prices. The next sale will show is actual value now. But past sales are not erased. Last cart went for 600$ before much under that. We'll see for this one!

To use ur exemple of Zelda majoras grey nfr best sale was at 1200$ before I bought it for 1850$ And beat you in the process XD haha!

And yes. Im a buyer for this cart.

What sales prices?  You're making stuff up.  There are no sales at $100-$350, your "generally" comment is completely fictional.  You've been around two months so how are you aware of the sales history of the cart?  You have no idea about forum sales or private party stuff.

The rare stuff changes hands privately at non-public prices all the time.  I sold a MM Gray for $1400 in July 2012 which would have been considered absurd at the time, after a public sale that January of $900.  Megamanfan sold a completely destroyed copy for $1000 last year and I believe MJWatts sold his for $1700-$1800 to the guy you bought from.  So how can you say the "best sale" for it was $1200?

There is no history on an N64 test cart below $300 unless you go back to 2010.  There is a history of prospective buyers, i.e. multiple people that have offered above $1000 within the past 12-18 months on it.  That is a fact because I've had people come directly to me.

So to sit here and say generally between $100-$350 is simply not true.  I'll put a public offer of $400 on it right now just to act as a floor because I know it is easily worth more than that.

No, really, defend your claim instead of ducking his question. Show us recent, completed sales at "Generally its between 100-350$" on ebay

I can launch a website right now and list a copy at $49.99 as "out of stock" .

If you're going to make claims about going rates, be prepared to back them up. That's all Jone and I are saying.
