I got em both, not sealed of course but CIBs. I do collect seal variants myself.

There pretty much equal in terms of rarity though. Just do a quick search on ebay for "nes Mario 2 complete" and you'll see lots of each seal.

I don't think there's really a conventional price difference between them, but I know some people are more likely to search for the round black seal and pay more for it, simply because it's the earlier release.

I don't know why but the black seal version looks better...the box colors seem more vivid and the Nintendo logo on the bottom right is bigger and better placed. Maybe I'm just nuts

Is that true for all games?  I know I have two seal versions (sold color seal and the similar white seal above) of Mega Man 1 / Link Gold and I'm sure there's more that I'm just forgetting....

No, it's not true for ALL games, but it is for quite a lot. I know that Mega Man is an exception to this. For example, if you have a dead mint black seal, $120; dead mint white seal, $90. Not hard and fast, but average from what I've seen.

Don't think there is a big difference in value, but I do have a sealed one of each

Yeah, Nintendo of America has passed from a round to an oval seal of quality somewhere between 1988-1989, I don't remember exactly. The round seal had different colors depending on box and label artwork while the oval one is always gold and white.

I don't collect Rev-A / Non Rev-A variants.  Everyone knows you have all kinds of crazy box variants down to the inner flap codes on Black Box games

^Actually I didn't know that. Not that it has ever come up for me mind you since I don't have a CIB black box.

The black seal looks more retro. I bet it will be more valuable in the future...

i say the black seal will be (is?) worth more simply because it is an older version.

there's any revision of the game on the WHITE SEALS? I mean something like developers say "ok we had a bug, we fix the bug and and sell it with the new white seal".
I don't saying that white seal is made to fix bugs lol but I mean the devs can approach the new white seal to fix some bugs?

It could, but on very rare occasions I'd say (even buggy games were re-released with the same bugs).

Also, gotta enjoy a 8 years old bump
