Benihana works with metal. Not sure the extent, but I imagine he could make a bezel.

I'm curious how many hours/dollars were put into this beast.

I just ordered some custom lasercut aluminium cover and bezel - hope it'll fit...

For the hours: many
For the dollars: quite a few. The most expensive part was the display ($100), then the above mentioned cover and bezel ($70), game genie, mini speaker, other material ($80ish).

I'll post more pictures when the thing is finished.

New video available of the 'finished' unit:

I've done some work and installed a cover and bezel to hide the circuit boards and cables:

Here are the switches for screen adjustments:

Volume potentiometer on the left side of the screen:

2042 upvotes in less than 24 hours on Reddit.

I don't know if somebody here submitted this video of Silius' work, but the entire world (myself included) appears to be totally blown away with this design.

Amazing, amazing job.

Well, I only submitted it to Hackaday as I haven't seen a mod like mine before. I'm surprised how fast it has spread and by the feedback it gets. I don't know anything about reddit but I guess 2042 votes in 24h is a lot?
