If you use inbox folders to organize your messages, you may have noticed that when you click on one of those messages, the "historical" view of the conversation was showing all messages as being either from you or that person (but not both).

Mario's Right Nut uncovered a nasty bug that actually corrupted some data. Any messages that you've got in folders will never accurately report "who" the messages was from. This has been corrected, but the fallout is that those messages are permanently tainted (~1,500 messages out of 400,000, so it's not that big of an issue). You'll also notice that all of you PM folders are now empty and you'll need to repopulate them.

I should also mention that there should now be a very noticeable performance boost on the inbox page for people that have over 1,000+ messages.

Some of my old messages are gone, is this permanent?

No -- I'm still working on it. Just don't move any messages around to be safe.

He he! All messages should be back in their folders, but the name issue will remain for any that were there previously (note that new messages put in folders should say the correct name).

Dain. It won't let me PM back. It says that I have reached my message limit and the progress bar at the top reads 100%. I wasn't anywhere near that before.

I even tried to delete some messages and it didn't help.

I've removed the inbox restriction (it was set to 2000 messages, and you were at 2115 once I fixed the folder "loophole"). Basically, it didn't count messages inside subfolders as part of your aggregate message count.

All of a sudden I had a message that was read from like 2 months ago, and then today it said it was unread. Not a big deal, but I thought I would post here in case it had something to do with this.
