What is the value of Mario Brothers black box arcade series factory (h seam) sealed?

Also have Star Tropics sealed.

$5 each, but I'll pay you $10 for locating them for me.

Really? $5 each factory sealed? I can't find any reliable documented value for either. I know the Star Tropics might not be worth much, but I would think the Mario Brothers would have some good value.

You should learn to recognize sarcasm a little better I don't collect sealed or boxed, so I can't say.

I'm just kidding with you. I'm guessing $40 for the ST and 2-300 for the mario, but I really don't know.

Now that isn't right everyone knows they are 10.00ea

Seriously I'd say Mario Bros would be up there in price, just hope its a legit seal and not a well done reseal. That alone is why I don't collect sealed, or boxed for that matter.

meh...damn me and my slow typing.

a few pics might help us out in determining the value.  The SMB could easily be worth $200+ depending on condition.  As for star tropics, Amazon has a few for around 40, and ebay has some for 20-50 sealed.  Lets see some pics!

Pics are a must here. That Mario could hit stupid ranges if MINT and the original release.

Yeah, the Arcade Mario Bros is more like $1500-2000. Condition makes all the difference.

Star Tropics - I sold for $30 in pretty near mint condition a few months ago. I would guess Mario would be close to $1000.

ETA: Also, I want pics as well!

Dov's first one got $2500 I believe. Once it came out that he had more, the price dropped. I'm sure there hasn't been one for sale in a while, but I am sure it would have gone up since the last one ended.

I'd say 2500-5000 for avg to mint on the Mario depending on condition. Star tropics is common and is a drop in the bucket no matter what shape it is in compared to this.

All of these numbers are a bit ridiculous. For all we know, there's a huge tear in the wrap and some corners are squished entirely. But now he'd go list it on eBay at $5k OBO just because of some responses in here.

OP - All the numbers in the thread are just speculation until they provide pics. Don't get your hopes up expecting $2k unless it has hardly any flaws to the naked eye.

I don't think I have one.

A true mint copy would most likely exceed those prices. I'd pay 5k for a mint one.

For me the average sealed copy = VGA 85 so yeah a rip wouldn't get you 5k.

However even listing it once at 5k obo might get you the best offer. You can always go down in price if no one is buying but you can't go up once you have sold it.

I can't see a VGA 85 copy selling for 1600 these days but if so I'm a buyer. For a mint copy of vga 95 or better 5k no problem.
