I really liked this section. I can almost see this being a staple to the NA zines as well: top 10 worst/best/odd/gay/dangerous/violent/misplaced/drug induced/commie 'something or something.' I think guts is onto something here with this concept.

Some good taste in that list! Konami Almost always had brilliant cover designs on their NES games.

I love the Castlevania box art! The whip looks awesome how it just keeps going and going. lol. I really love the box art for Startropics. It's so calm and serene and looks like paradise.

Wizards & Warriors are one of my fav and all 3 Castlevanias have great art.

After reviewing the NES library of box art, I have to say that Castlevania 1's cover art is also my favorite. I've uploaded on my site a super-high-res image of the box cover, and also one of the original art piece showing the areas that were covered up by the box design:

My favorite will always be Sqoon! But that's a great list. Some of the best. It's so hard to choose!

I really liked this section, nice work! Funny how people have such different taste though as I hate that style of box art. I'm more a fan of the cartoon style art.

I agree that Castlevania has some great box art. I'm surprised to see a few of those on that list especially TMNT. Manhattan Project had better artwork in my opinion.

I really liked this article. It would be cool to become a regular feature.

As far as the Bayou Billy box though, I always though his head was down too far. It just looks funny to me.

Castlevania has always been my favorite old-time game ever. I even played it on my feature phone.. lol.. Really. The box art looks gorgeous by the way.
