Kevin or Randy are definitely going to clean up if they see this. Kevin has #6 on TG/s Marble Madness scores. Also, You should make the rules that you can't play 2 players. Much easier to score points that way

Man, I cannot understand for the life of me how you guys can score so high! Every time I play now I get to the last level, get a score of somewhere in the range of the 30 thousands, turn and say to Misty, "How the hell do Kevin and Randy score so high???!"

Anyway, last night, for the first time, I got to the final part in the game with the shifting platforms! woohoo! I didn't get to try them though, as I ran out of time _right_ when I got to them haha

Roth, I agree! I'm guessing there is either a huge "time remaining" bonus when you beat the game, or they go out of their way to kill EVERYTHING in the topsy-turvy level...or some combination of the two.

I have a feeling there are going to be some people coming out of the woodwork to make Randy and I actually work harder. I'm a little worried, honestly.

I've seen one a few Marble Madness races in the Chat Rooms... Kevin and Randy are total badasses. It's like they have the entire game down by muscle memory.

Good luck to anyone else that even tries this week, you'll need it!

1,000 points per second remaining.  So it's not huge, but it helps, most I've had left is 61 seconds (and that's not with the score I posted, you're also rewarded or penalized for number of deaths).

May still be far off from the highest scores you guys are getting, but for me, this is a big achievement, quite an awesome score(s) for myself. It took me about a half a dozen tries of warming up before I actually beat any games of it, but once I did I kept at it, only losing one time somewhere in between all that, also, only chose to record scores for games completed. Anyway, broke my previous high score (113.590) from last year (8/22/08) a couple times over, and quite a bit at that. First stage I don't know why but 90 something percent of the time I lose a marble or two, those ramps are difficult to run up, though the one lost in my last game I just missed the ramp all together. Second stage is always easy, third isn't so bad either, but the fourth stage, ugh, this is where I usually lose multiple marbles, especially at that last spot with the hammer things, though I did pretty good that last game. Fifth stage only has one difficult spot, though I am getting better at those odd slopes. Stage six is actually one of the easier stages in the game, not at first of coarse, but having had a lot of practice I can zoom through this one really quick sometimes without even losing a marble. Okay, never bothered to pay much attention before, but I see how those high scores can be earned, have a shitload of time left over at the end, each second equaling 1000 points, and don't die so much otherwise minus 1000 points each death, I thinks I can improve my game, I'll give it some more attempts when I'm up for it. But still there's one thing that I'm puzzled by, what causes the magic wand to appear when it does, seems so random, its a good thing, gives you more time, though sometimes the damn thing appears at the most inopportune times.

Marble Madness (old scores)
08/22/08
1st game (1st time ever beating this game on my 23rd logged attempt): beat it with 13 deaths, score 70.390

3rd game (3rd time in a row): beat it with 11 deaths, score 82.570

(lost two games between here)
5th game: beat it with 12 deaths, score 103.250
6th game (2nd time in a row): beat it with 14 deaths, score 94.990
7th game (3rd time in a row): beat it with 16 deaths, score 60.350

13th game (2nd time in a row): beat it with 13 deaths, Score 76.600
14th game (3rd time in a row): beat it with 16 deaths, Score 68.670
15th game (4th time in a row): beat it with 12 deaths, Score 102.020

19th game (8th time in a row): beat it with 19 deaths, Score 72.200
20th game (9th time in a row): beat it with 12 deaths, Score 96.470
21st game (10th time in a row): beat it with 15 deaths, Score 94.550
