Came across this Gamecube about four years ago, tried digging up information about it, haven't had much luck. From what I was able to gather it seems like it may have been given to ATI as some sort of commemorative piece possibly. Saw another one of these in the black variety here and am wondering now how much it is worth. Thanks for any and all input.

Very cool. The jewels on DOL-001 consoles were removable with alignments marks on a hidden Nintendo logo that made it seems like it was intended for end users. I wonder if the console or the jewel was the award.

In my opinion the jewel is really the only unique part. The console seems pretty standard, but I have no reason to believe there was ever more than two of these made, which is why I'm curious about the price.

It had to have been the console, just a jewel (that at the time nobody would've cared about) would make for a pretty paltry prize. But then again who knows maybe we're talking small prize budgets here.

this was probably for the team at ATI/ArtX that designed the flipper GPU in the GameCube... just a hunch.
