Yeah, that is pretty wild.

OP - How old was the couple?

late 30s is my guess, , sorta aged prematurely

I’m so glad he didn’t get undercut. I can’t believe someone didn’t offer them more than asking price. Just $50 more would have done it without spilling the beans.

Congratulations! This is awesome! I’m excited and happy for you.

Wow, really makes you wonder what the story was on the collection.

if I have to take a wild guess, I'd say they were resellin' something they had just gotten. The guy wasn't properly able to plug the NES, also they were smoking in their appartment and the lot doesn't smell.

Just seems insane that they'd flip something for so little money with so little research.

If they only paid 20 bucks for it wherever they got it, they're probably still thrilled.

Then we're talking about a unicorn-copy of Stadium Events in Canada that changed hands not once but multiple times in short-order after it has had years of online publicity with major news stories to be sold by sellers who are of an age that should imply competence with online search engines and eBay.

Like I said... insane.

Consider that they were a family of "modest means" to be polite, and they sure as hell didn't speak the sort of local french that would let one presume they'd understand english.
