"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Its reasons like this I thought making a homebrew of an unreleased game was lame. Now that the real copy has surfaced, it makes the homebrew copy that much more worthless.

Actually, I think that means whoever paid for the prototype bought it for 2K.  An unreleased, undumped proto is easily worth that price, and probably actually WORTH more than that.  Just happens to be what they paid for it.

Yep, 3rd party game that gave out demos to the big magazines, it had to be out there. Now we can see how cruddy it really is!

BTW, the video is coming up as "Off Air" is this correct? They mentioned in the blurb that tomorrow night it was going to be unveiled, I guess that's why.

so to clarify: there really is a bio force ape game, and they're going to live demo the proto.

the game aceprogrammer and company showed on april 1st is a homebrew of bio force ape, a sight-unseen replica or conceptual guess as to what the real game is.

correct?

Correct, though I think the programmingace homebrew is based more on the crazy version from the 2005 digital press forums hoax with the fart attack and the butter monster and stuff.
