Hey everyone!

Something I've been wanting to do since I started doing design for the eZine is using user-created art for the cover of the 'Zine.  In past issues I've just used images from the articles inside the issue, but I think it would be a lot more interesting to have real art made by our community!

For this month, it would be great to have something with the theme of "Return of the eZine" or something similar in celebration of the eZine starting back up.  We would need the cover for this coming issue by the 15th of June.

Are there any artists out there that would be interested in doing this for this issue or perhaps any future issues?

Although it really has nothing to do with the theme, here is some work based on Little Samson and Double Dragon 2. There are more photos of various games, however they have yet to be uploaded.

Hey John, your image didn't go through. Hope you sort it out cause I love Little Samson

As much as I would love to help with the eZine I have absolutely no experience with graphic design.

The dimensions would just be an 8.5x11 in. sheet of paper

I think that should do "Revenge of the eZine" instead of Return.

Here's something I whipped up. I had more subtle NES references in there but it looked too messy so I removed them.

Thanks guys!

Robin, I didnt create the font but I added a lot of layer effects to the text (gradient overlay, drop shadow, stroke, etc) and masked some texture on top of it.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Cool looking cover art so far guys!  The answer to the above question is that 300 px/in would be the ideal resolution for this.  I've had two guys PM also expressing interest.  If you have finished cover art that is 8.5x11 in with 300 px/in resolution, go ahead and email it to [email protected]   Thanks guys!  Also keep in mind that the big blue banner will still be going across the top of the page along with headlines from the articles within the 'zine.

Thanks!
