I have a GBC prototype and I am looking for a good dumper. I had thought the Altane would be a good option, but it seems like they never made a second run. Does anyone know of a currently available option?

I have a usb CopyNES but the laptop running xp I would pair with it died. Does any one have any experience running it with any other OS. My wife has a Windows 7 machine. Because of my dissertation, I moved all the way to Linux.

I have a Bung GB XChanger/Flash Linker that can do it. Requires a parallel port connection. Not sure if there's any NT-kernel software (would require IO.sys or something) but it should work with any PC that has Linux, DOS, or Win9x/ME. I use an old Toshiba Libretto ultra-portable with Windows 98. If you've got an appropriate PC I'd be happy to loan it.

Thank you for the offer.    Sadly I do not have parallel port.

It seems that the retrode has been discontinued.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these gbc flashers?

Basically ever time I dump an NES game there's about a 20 minute re-learning experience because of, I think, some bugs in the software, but it works on every Windows version I've thrown it at. Like Xerxes is saying, if you hit play mode, ignore the warning saying that copynes isn't plugged in, say ok, and the game should appear on your TV. (then wiggle it around a bunch until it actually reads since it's, you know, an NES).

For Game Boy dumping, there can only be one. N64 + Everdrive 64 + Transfer Pak.

Why is it superior to a stand alone option?
