Looks like these just went live not to long ago as well. They are geared more towards the dev community, but they stll look pretty sweet to me.

I don't know jack shizzle about dev stuff, but I bought one anyway in case the sale out and I ever decide to learn. I am still kicking myself for never picking up a copyNES kit, and not it seems that they are gone again. I wonder if these will sale as fast as the NWC's did, lol.

They're not moving as fast. They went on sale a few hours ago. Bunnyboy said the NWC carts sold out in a span of about 30 minutes. As you said, it's more for the dev people and requires a copynes. I only know a hand full of people who own a copynes. Anyway, I already ordered mine

Interesting...but where's the actual Power Paks (like the one that's pictured on the front page)?

Edit:  Also, I ordered one of the Power Pak Lites, just to expand on my cart collection.  I guess this can be filed under either homebrews or test carts...which to file it under, though?

I am sure he will chime if he wants us to know an approx time. I bet he has enjoyed taking my money, lately, he sure has gotten a bunch of it, lol I will be getting the full version also, why the hell not!!

Should these be added to the NintendoAGE database?

I bought one although I really have no idea why. I don't do any Dev stuff, I still just had to have it.

Exactly Mike, that is why I had to pick one up as well. Bunnyboy is making this hobby into something new by making new stuff, very exciting time right now. I just hope he keeps coming up with cool projects like these.

Yeah me too.  I hope to pick up a copy of the NWC 1990 Repro next round, I actually considered picking up this one as well, but money is a little tight for something I will never use.

Can someone explain to me what this is? Do you just put it in ur CopyNES, launch the CopyNES software, copy over "any" ROM, take it out of the CopyNES, put it in ur NES and the game(s) will play?

Close, it doesn't handle any game though, only ones it supports, which is most of the common games but not MMC3 based ones. You would have to play it from the CopyNES too, it's RAM based so the data on the cart is lost as soon as it's turned off. Not really intended for playing games, but rather developing them.

The regular PowerPak on the other hand is more for the gamer type. It holds multiple games on a CF card (so you shouldn't need a CopyNES) and it should be able to support just about any mapper (via emulation).

Ah ok, i thought this was the one with the CF card or that it stored the data in RAM even if you turned of the CopyNES. Tnx for the info

I got mine today in the mail. Not that I have a clue what to do with it, but it is really freaking cool It also comes with a nice manual with a bit of humor in it. Cool for the dev guys, and cool for us collectors as well.

I'm still debating buying one -- I have a CopyNES, but no compatible system to run it on. But I've heard rumor of a USB version? Anyone know anything else about that?

A USB version? Most intriguing. I may have to pick up one of those, as well . Can't say I have a CopyNES, though...

I heard some loose talk about a USB version, although it wasn't from Kevin. I think he's done with CopyNES for a while.

Kevin stopped selling copynes kits about a month ago. Since the release of the PowerPak Lite, I've seen a lot of people asking him if they could still buy a kit. He said its too much of a pain in the ass to keep up with all the parts. I'm gonna have to agree with burnambill333, I think he might be done with selling the kits permanently.

MarioMania: That's what it would seem to be... A very interesting cart, indeed. I'd buy one, but I'm short on funds right now. However, if anyone was willing to buy one and trade it to me, I'd trade about $150 worth of my stuff for one (or $310 worth for two, if someone was kind enough to buy two)...

The mappers that are currently supported can be found here. All you'll need to do is find which games use these mappers (which is quite a few). BootGod's site will help you find which games use what mappers.
