Since I technically can't raise money for things related to Microsoft's Conker and Perfect Dark, PtoP still finds itself in a bit of a hole.

Do you have a physical copy of the prototype? Would you mind posting some pics? I also gotta ask if this is for sale?

No physical copy, sorry. It was passed to me by a trusted source, who believes it came from Nintendo. My goal is to get it out there at a reasonable price, in the hopes that it brings out more RARE prototypes. Im not a big Perfect Dark fan to be honest.

Try on ASSEMblergames forums, they don't know about the fundraiser.

Im a member over there, not to worry. Trying to see how the other communities handle things, since fundraisers can be hit or miss. That said, I've started the fundraiser officially, and should have an update shortly.

If you got an account you should let lostlevels.org unseen64.net and 64dd.net know about this. They might help out with the fundraiser.

Unseen64's forum is down for the time being, lostlevels is a bit slow, and I don't have an account on 64dd.net, but feel free to let them know heh.

Kinda tempted to throw some cash at this, Perfect Dark is one of my favorite N64 games... I just wish it was an earlier beta.

Are we not sure if all this debug stuff isn't just disabled and still lingering in the final ROM? $500 is pretty high for what amounts to just the final game with debug info, which not many people are gonna have much use for. Then again, if you paid more than $500 for the cart itself, I can understand not wanting to give it out for free without some compensation. Otherwise, though....

If this somehow brought more Rare protos out from the closet, I wouldn't compain

He said previously that he does not own a physical cartridge.

I perosnally don't support community dumps with my wallet, but wish you luck on hitting your goal.

Hackers have combed through the final versions of Perfect Dark, there are NO remnants of the MCM (Debug menu). Remnants were found in Goldeneye, but not PD. It's admittedly not the most exciting beta version ever, but the people who DID buy the carts years ago spent thousands of euros on them, so it is chump change compared to that

Appreciate all the support everyone!

I didn't understand that to mean he didn't own the actual cart, I thought he just meant the cart itself isn't what was for sale.

Anyway, hope it makes its goal. If you ever get a Twelve Tales dump I'd be in for that heh.

This fundraiser has been upgraded to including not just the initial PAL beta, but all of the following below :
*PAL Beta of Perfect Dark (Two days before final build - C-Up and C-Down to enable MCM, less options than NTSC)
*NTSC Beta of Perfect Dark (March 22nd 2000 build - C-Up and C-Down to enable MCM, a couple of more options than PAL)
*Conker's Bad Fur Day "Debug" (October 25th, 2000 build - Hold all C buttons on start to cause an interrupt and the debug menu. Doing so later crashes the game, but it may work on real hardware)
*Conker's BFD ECTS Demo Build (Made for a trade show, lots of differences, lots of crashes. Hit start to skip the intro cutscene or itll crash)

We are currently sitting at 350$ out of the new total of $2500.

I already donated (Bramsworth from Assembler), just showing some support here

This will likely take awhile to get there, like that RE GBC. But if it does, who knows. Proto sales and releases seem to bring people with more stuff out of the shadows, so it could perhaps help in bringing a Twelve Tales proto out there eventually.

Obviously I'm mainly thinking of this as a Conker fund. I pretty much forget Perfect Dark is in there too lol
